Need help to gather the following information from my AIX server.
which command to use to find,
Tape driver version?
I believe a Medium changer is a hardware device that does the work of getting tapes from slots from the library and put in drive. This hardware device is known as Medium changer in Windows server, do you know what it is known as in AIX and how i can locate it, to find,
Medium changer driver version and vendor's information ?
also can some confirm and answer the following.
also fcs is fiber channel HBA, right?
what is the difference between fcs and fscsi, and what is the purpose of fscsi?
fcs0 Available 00-08 FC Adapter![Atape Atape](http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51tewFfGG2L.jpg)
fscsi0 Available 00-08-02 FC SCSI I/O Controller Protocol Device
Thanks.
See the Licensing agreement presented when the driver is downloaded. The tape driver for AIX (Atape) works with IBM System Storage Tape Products in providing basic. X.x.x support AIX versions 5.3 and above Atape levels 11. Atape.driver Versions 2 and 3 have a defect which prevents them from being updated. Atape V4.2 and later only run on AIX V4, whereas the earlier versions run on both AIX V3. Install and update by entering installp -acXd /tmp/Atape all.
